1 good thing is built to be private by default. it does not collect, store, or share your personal data, and it does not require an account. the short version: your drawings are yours, and they stay on your device.
we do not collect personal information, we do not ask you to sign up, and we do not run advertising or third-party tracking of any kind.
we use a privacy-focused analytics service called TelemetryDeck to understand basic, anonymous usage patterns, like how many people open the app on a given day. TelemetryDeck cannot identify you: it never collects your name, email, or anything else personal, and the identifiers it uses are not linked to your identity. it is not used for advertising, and it does not track you across other apps or websites.
everything you draw is stored locally on your device. if you have iCloud enabled, your drawings sync through your own private iCloud account (Apple's iCloud / CloudKit) so they're available across your devices and safe if you reinstall. that data lives in your iCloud, which only you can access. we do not operate servers and we never receive or see your drawings.
you can choose to share a jar with other people, using an invite link or a QR code. this works through Apple's iCloud sharing (CloudKit), using your own iCloud account. we still do not operate servers, and we never see or store what's in a shared jar ourselves.
if you share a jar, the drawings and entries in it, along with the display name and photo you choose to show, become visible to everyone you've invited into that jar. you can see who's currently in a shared jar from its member list, and anyone can leave a shared jar at any time.
if you turn on the daily reminder, your reminder time and on/off preference are stored locally on your device. nothing about your reminders is transmitted to us.
if you're part of a shared jar, you may also get a push notification when someone else adds to it. these are delivered through Apple's push notification service and only happen for jars you've chosen to share.
if you save your jar as a wallpaper, the app asks for add-only permission to your photo library so it can save that one image. the image is saved to your own library and is never uploaded anywhere. the app cannot read your existing photos.
if you buy a subscription or the lifetime unlock, the purchase is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. we never see your payment details. we only receive an anonymous signal from Apple about whether your purchase is active, used solely to unlock features.
because the app collects no personal data from anyone, it collects none from children. it is safe for all ages.
if this policy ever changes, we'll update this page and the "last updated" date above. since we don't collect contact information, we can't notify you directly, so material changes will be reflected here.
